Compendium (return)

Here, you will find – exclusively – my humble compendium of letters. These are the correspondence I have maintained with my family. I submit them to your review for reasons I do not understand.

Forgive such musings as here follow. They are merely awkward attempts to understand a reality which eludes language. And, now they are yours.

Caedmon Comma

My son,

You are growing. It is shocking to awake every new day and find you a brand new person. You have words that you did not have the day before. You have discoveries you are eager to share.

"Look, Dada!"

Your face even changes these days, as new expressions, and new subtleties of emotion find their way into your life.

You are heartrendingly thoughtful.

You are joyously sensitive.

You are boldly hungry for a new laughter.

Tomorrow when our family awakes. You will bless us all. You will bless us with eyes that are wide with new discovery, and a life that is hungry for the love that we desperately need to give to you.

You are a remarkable and stirring truth, Caedmon.
