Compendium (return)

Here, you will find – exclusively – my humble compendium of letters. These are the correspondence I have maintained with my family. I submit them to your review for reasons I do not understand.

Forgive such musings as here follow. They are merely awkward attempts to understand a reality which eludes language. And, now they are yours.

Caedmon Comma

My Son,

Today, as I prayed for you, I held you in my arms. I thanked God that you, my son, were so great and so wonderful. Then, I looked you in the eyes and I told you that you were great, and you were wonderful. I told you that you could not be greater, or more wonderful. I was so moved with gratitude and awe, that I could think of no other word to say than "hallelujah."

I don't know when you will read this, if ever. But wherever you are in life, I want you to know that my words are still true. No matter what you've done or where you have been, you are great and wonderful. You could not be greater or more wonderful.

hallelujah
